Outdoor Adventure Vacations

Wouldn’t it be fun and exciting to spend your vacation living in a tree house just like the Swiss Family Robinson? Or, what about traversing a corn maze, harvesting your own dinner and sleeping in a converted barn? Agri-tourism and Eco-tourism vacations are on the rise and are located all over the world. From a stay in a tropical rainforest to a rural farm in Delaware, natural vacations are gaining in popularity for two main reasons: 1) Many tourists use these as home schooling learning experiences for their children and coordinate science and social studies lessons with a vacation, and, 2) People want to re-live their childhoods and eco-vacations inspire a sense of nostalgia of living on a farm, going fishing as a youth, or working in a garden during a person’s time in 4-H.

Eco- and Agri- tourism destinations and itineraries vary, however, to see if there are some getaways located where your next vacation is, perform an Internet search using the terms “Agri-tourism” or “Eco-tourism”, “” (the state you wish to visit), and “” any particular activities you may be interested in.
