Adventure Vacations for Kids: Cowboy Camps
With the popularity of Toy Story’s Woody character, the cowboy has once again become an American icon. Today, kids all over the country have a chance to spend their nights under the stars, have a campfire meal and participate in horseback writing, cattle branding, and wrangling.
Cowboy camps for kids also teach necessary survival skills for the wilderness like tent fabrication from native elements, fishing without rods and reels, plant identification, and emergency preparedness skills.
Located not just in the west, Cowboy Camps are located all across the country. If you are interested in locating a Cowboy Camp for your child this summer, perform and Internet search using the terms, “Cowboy Camp” and “_____” (insert your state or desired destination). Cowboy Camps are usually for children age 10 and over, and both boys are girls are welcomed to be cowboys and cowgirls.
